Well I just bought an 03 mustang. It does have some work done to it, Pullies, ported polished blower, headers, catback, tune as well.

MY problem is I goto start the car and it almost seems like the battery is weak, like it turns over really slow once, twice then starts on the third one. However if you cut the car off, and try to start it again sometimes it doesn't turn over at all, and the lights dim then shutoff in the car when you start it.

So I took out the alternator and cleaned it and had it tested, it turned out fine, I even disconnected the terminal to the battery and it still ran np, so I assume the alternator is fine.

I had the battery tested twice, both times it was fine. I even charged the battery to full and the same thing, its like the battery is really weak, its 720 cca.

Also the battery is in the trunk and I'm not sure if that could be an issue or not, I didn't run the wire or put it there, do you think if I put it back under the hood where it should go it will be alright.

I'm kinda running out of options here im not sure what else to try anyone have any thoughts? Thanks for the help.

Either your cable from the battery forward is too small a gauge or the connections are corroded. Check the connections at the battery, inline fuse, buss block and starter. It could also be a bad starter solenoid. What type of fuse is on the hot wire by the battery?
