For you 03 guys that used to have GT's, did you find the steering any different in your new car?

I have heard that Ford tweaked the steering on the Cobra.

I can't honestly say there is a difference... This car is heavier than my 01 GT vert, but then again there is just so much that is different compared to that GT.

Sorry I can't help you much more than that. I guess I am in the "no" category.

Compared to my 01 GT ,03 cobra much better handling car.Even with the cast iron block, the blisten shocks,600 lb. springs , IRS and bigger zr rated tires all combined to make the 03 a better driver.

Yes, the turning radius blows compared to my 01 GT vert. I felt much more confident in a confined space making uturns in my old car.

Yeah, parking my new 04 is a pain, its like a frigging boat.... but once its moving, no comparison, the cobra is amazing.

When I first started driving my Cobra I noticed the steering to be a little bit tighter... but I got used to it now. Along with way sits lower and now I have to shift gears as oppose to my 99 GT auto. But she's a great car, so no complaints.
