I just got done washing the Cobra and while i was washing the front bumper it had alot of movement...i am not talkin it flexed when i put pressure on it, it really moved....putting your hands in the opening under the front licence plate i could lift up gently and move the bumper at least 1/2 inch if not 1 inch up and down. I could actully lift up and let go and it would drop back down....now i have washed before and never felt this but never tried i guess.

I know i havent hit anything so I am wondering if everyone could go into there garages and try it to see if that is just "Ford quality" or if it's just mine.

If its just me i know Ford will hee haw me around with warrenty because when i first got it i put some real light scrapes on the one inch trim inder the bumper from pulling into a parking space and (I was used to an F150) and rubbing the curb. But were talkin 3000 miles ago and 1 mph roll.

what do ya all think?

My 03' does the same thing. When you wash, wax, or dry in the area below where the front license plate goes (my car has no plate there) there is quite a bit of play, must be exclusive to the Cobra's because I had a 2002 GT and it did not happen to that car. Chalk it up to Ford quality. Hope others will chime in if it happens to their 03'-04' Cobra's.

They all do that, my '01 did the same thing. I checked at a dealer, every mustang I walked up to did it.

Yea,
My Cobra's front bumper fit that same way and I noticed it also the first time I gave it a real wash. I remember thinking about how I was going to tighten up and fix that loose bumper until my buddy totaled my Cobra that I had let him borrow for a hot date.
Funny how almost everyone complains about Saleen parts and fit and finish on their products (off topic a bit) but every one of my Saleen's new and old up to my 02' S281 bumpers fit well and tight.
I guess if you pick and look closely enough you can probably find a problem with everything.
