There is a wrecked '03 Mach 1 at a local wrecking yard with mint seats. As you may know the Mach 1's had different seats than the other Mustangs. They would look awsome in my '67 fastback. Does anyone know if they will fit?
They are a steal at $600 for front and rear. The car only has 9300 miles on it. I'm going to pick them up on Wed. I'm going to see if an upholstry shop can modify the rears to fit. Can I use the power tracks if i lower the pans or will they sit too tall?
The driver side is not flat on the bottom so you will need to make spacers for the seat tracks from your original seats to bolt on. You will also find you sit higher in the car and if leg/head room was an issue for you before it will be more so with the new seats. You can move them back a little by making sure you install the old seat frame on the new seat bolted as far forward on the base as possible.
I have some '03 cobra seats in my turd, front and rear. I think i posted about it on here when i did it a while ago, ill look for it. Basically i just cut and modified the hinge frame to fit, and bolted it to the deck panel thing. As for the bottoms, the frame inside the foam on the bottom was massaged a little so they just sorta wedge in. Let me know if you need some more info.
