Does anyone know if a s/c off of an 03 cobra will fit my 96 cobra with no problems. i cant see any problem, but maybe someone out there has some experience or knows someone who has. I see a lot of people selling them for cheap, and i could use the hp "boost"...sorry, bad pun.

don't believe it will, at least not a "bolt on". you can make it to fit, but you'll most likely be spending more money than a actual kit would cost

thankyou for your belief, not to be rude, but where does your belief come from. that is not a very solid answer.

The 03 Cobra uses different heads than those that come on your 96. The swap wouldn't be as direct as most would like to think. There are many factors involved. You'd have to re-route a different throttle linkage set-up as well. I'm sure there are other things that I can't quite remember at the moment.

well maybe someone can chime and and tell us what would be needed , maybe he can change just the heads out and be set , what else would be needed and would this be the same if someone wanted to put this supercharger on say a mach 1 ?????or 99 or newer cobra ??? or is it not worth it due to the bottom end differences , im curious too ??

what red fire said is exactly why, i was too tired to explain it last night. the intake ports wont line up. but you can have a adapter plate made for the current heads you are running. then you need to get the heat exchanger & install that, not to mention the new fuel tank. but like i said last night, it will be cheaper, or roughly the same price to buy a kit for it, as it's going to be to piece one together.

as a rule of thumb, the more that you have to modify stuff & "make it work", the less reliable it is. there are too many factors most of the time to get everyone of them right, so therefore instead of becoming something that you thought you would love, it's a huge headache.

if you are dead set on doing it, be my guest, i could care less if you wanna try it. but imo you are much better off to get a pre-made kit & installing it

one more thing to think about...............just think, if it were worth doing, there would have been a lot of people do it. right? but the fact is there IS NOT, not on this board or any other that i'm on, or any person that i know, that has done it.
