03'04 Cobra bashing....

Hey guys i love the cobra's every single model, even the 4.6s/c ones ( ) . For the power these beautiful machines make, why is that all i ever find online is 03-04 cobra's being bashed and beaten by the lesser vehicles out there? this video with the sti- vs 03 cobra got me up in arms, i have a hard time believeing a 300/300 sti would take a 390/? cobra, obviously driving plays major rolls, but man, get some video up that shows this stangs potential and the butt whoopin power IT DOES lay down everyday...this ricer fad will never fade with all this twisted video out....just venting a little , hope to see some nice home vid's from you guys,!

Get a good driver behind the wheel of an exhaust and pullied 03 and there's not much on the road that'll beat it...The fact of the matter is, most people on the roads with 03's aren't that great at driving them...

well you have to realize that the sti is awd and the cobra is rwd which plays a major role in the launch....i can take lancer evo's in my 99 cobra from a roll but he can get ahead off a straight launch

6000 RPM clutch dump in an AWD WILL result in some pretty damn impressive 60' times. Question is... how many tmes can they do that before something lets go? A guy in my local car club had an AWD DSM that would run 11.6 all day long with a passenger! Bigger turbo and AWD launch got him out of the hole and down the track in a hurry. Trap speed wasn't all that impressive though. Be careful taking on an AWD from stoplight to stoplight, they WILL eat your lunch on the street. Now from a roll it's a whole different story!

When I still had my Novi 2000 Blown 2v GT, I ran a modded WRX on the street.

He dumped the clutch at 5500rpm and jumped way ahead from the start, but by the top of 1st beginning of 2nd I screamed by him.
Of course me having an automatic helped a bit, with my new 03 Cobra I still think I could do it, just can't spin em out of the hole. Patience is a virtue.

Then again, I am the same guy who lost to a woman on a cell phone in her stock WS6 TA automatic in my 11 second 92 LX due to massive wheelspin when she took me by surprise.

Kicked her butt from a roll in 2nd though.

I try not to let any of the talk bother me...

I visit the race track every weekend and kick some ass.....in fact us 03-04 cobra owners beat everything we race except for some nicely built or modded Domestic cars...

Its rare that I come home with a losing time slip on a test and tune night unless its too an equally modded Vette or a car thats been built for the strip.

Heck in the stock class nothing beats a slightly modded cobra. Go to the strip and you will see all the stupid vids and talk are BS...

CANT WAIT UNTIL MARCH!!!!!!!
