Hey guys I thought I would go ahead and start a build thread for my Mustang. Don't expect a lot to be happening soon but I wanted to start something for the discussion of what I want to do to my Mustang.
First off I own a 2003 Mustang GT 5 speed manual Premium, I bought it bone stock back in 2008 my senior year of high school with 68,000 miles on it.
Right now the car has 131,000 miles on it. I have done some mods to the car which I will list.
Performance/handling mods
Mac prochamber o/r midpipe
3.73 Ford Racing gears
SCT handheld tune from American Muscle
Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates and sub frame connectors
H&R Super Sport lowering springs
Exedy stage 1 clutch
Ram billet steel flywheel
Miscellaneous mods:
Mach 1 grille delete
FR500 rims
sequential taillights
That is all I can remember as of right now. Well I want to ultimately supercharge my Mustang, I hear good things about Procharger kits and Vortech. I am interested in the Procharger setup and I think I could run 7-8lbs of boost on the stock internals and be satisfied. I am worried about the mileage on the motor and running boost but a lot of guys are reassuring me that as long as I don't go over 9lbs of boost I will be fine.
So as of right now I am trying to decide if I will keep the car or move to something else. I graduate college this May and with a new career I will have more $ to do car stuff. I just want to decide if I should sell it or get a 5.0 Coyote or something else. As of now I am set on keeping the car and supercharging it and getting a second car for a daily driver.
I ideally would like to get the car to run low 12's at the track and still be fun to drive in autocross events. So I know after the supercharger I will most definitely want to refresh the suspension on the car.
Anyways I hope in the next few months this thread will have me showing y'all my supercharged Mustang lol.
Btw I am open to any suggestions on what to do and I want to hear from you guys that have done this to their Mustangs.
Anywho I hope to have more for yall soon.
