I just put a 04 4.6 in my 96 GT and everything went okay. Except the 04 exhaust manifolds will not fit the 96-98 UPR X pipe that I have, so now i have this stupid ass exhaust leak. I am just going to buy LT's my question is what is a good brand to get that does not cost a fortune? Also i have to get a new midpipe to accept the LT's. I was going to get a Prochamber but somebody told me they are really quiet, and that i should get the O/R H.

When we did the swap I used my 96 wiring harness which had two ECT sensors the 04 motor only has one spot for a ECT sensor. So i have been runing around with one unplugged the PCM thinks the motor is overheating and runs the cooling fan at all times. Is there anything else I can do other than drill and tap other sensor?

Also I used my 96 flywheel and clutch because my 96 clutch would not bolt to the 04 flywheel on the motor. Is the flywheel that came on the 04 motor an 11 inch? Is the 04 flywheel and clutch the same as the cobra's? If it is the same I am just going to use that flywheel and get a new clutch.
:banana:Thanks

well the x-pipe should fit, they are the same design manifolds. as far as the prochamber it sounds great, not too loud & has a definate muscle car sound quality to it

here's my clip if you wanna know what it sounds like clicky & i do believe the clutch is an eleven inch if i remember correctly

yeah you can remove the sensor in the manifold. and build a t fitting that will fit into the one port in the manifold and allow for two fittings.. so just go too a hardware, and some auto parts stores should have everythign you need.

The UPR X-pipe fits 96'-04 so you should have no problems there.
You really should tap the aluminum cross-over but you could use a T-fitting and screw both sensors into it and then screw the fitting into the single sensor hole but you may not get accurate readings as the sensors will not be in the "flow" of water.

you should definately tap the crossover, i've heard a few guys who did tried the T extension wound up drilling and tapping the crossove cause of overheating problems...also they said the heat wasn't working either. i believe its 3/8 npt for the tap and the drill bit is 37/64..or 9/16
