Hello guys. A friend of mine bought an '04 V-6. It's in need of the headlights to be adjusted. They shine to low. Can anyone out there help on how to adjust them up???

Thanks in advance.

If you take the headlight assembly off, there are screws on the back that adjust the beam. I think there are two screws- one for up/down and one for left/right, and you just have to experiment with them to see which is which. The best way to do that is park the car on a level driveway pointed at a garage door, and mark the center of the beam with masking tape. Then you can make adjustments and see where you are compared to before. Take the car on a short drive at night to make sure the beam is where you need it. There are guidelines online that show how far above the ground the beam should be at certain distances, and you can use them to get you started.

To remove the headlights, open the hood and look for the two black metal rails that slide down the back of the headlights and lock them to the body. Once you remove them, you can unplug the light and take it out.
