So I wont state the obvious too much but I have an 04 mustang gt 4.6l tr3650.

At work, we have a 4.6l 2v block that we pulled out of a pickup (97-03 body style.) because heads were bad. (Motor was new 3 year prior to this.) Nothing wrong with the lower end at all. The owner of the pickup wanted to swap it to a 5.4 so we did. Well Ford wont take the 4.6l as a core so it's just sitting there in its crate collecting dust. Boss says he wont have a use for it and would sell/give to me if I want it.

All I want/care for is the block, crank, etc.. (plan on building it) Will that block bolt up and drop in without modifying the motor mounts? I know itll mount to the tranny.

I did my research (short amount) and apparently I can't either read between the lines or I'm just not getting the point.

I really can't see Ford wasting money on a different block for the truck. I believe junkyards have a compatibility reference for most things.

The F150 should have a Windsor block. Where as the 2001-2004 Mustang GT will have a Romeo block.

The external mounting points are the same between a Windsor and a Romeo block.
