Can anyone tell me what backspacing the 05 - 06 bullitts have?

If I remember correctly, about 6"

closer to 7"... the 99-04 bullitt or whatever is 5.95" which translates to 24mm offset. The 05+ are 45mm offset which is close to another inch...

bah..its 6.75"

ok...

So what do i need to run them on a 66?

I am considering changing rears...

what rear should I consider to not have to run spacers on the rear?

fox rear end... might have to run some hella spacers on the front though, I ahve no clue

Ok, now I realize that this next question may have been covered before, but, what's the difference between back spacing and off set and how can you translate one to the other?

backspacing is the measurement from the outside back edge of the wheel to the mounting surface... offset is the distance from the center of the wheel to the mounting surface...

So if I'm reading correctly, a 17x8 wheel with a 27mm offset would have a back space of roughly 3 or so inches?

Why don't they just make it easy and label everything in rods or chains?

BS on 05-06 bullit rims is 6.295. You will need a 1.5" spacer on the front and rear. Unless you have a 67+ rearend in a 65-66 stang, in which case, you would need a .5" spacer on the rear. Just like I told you last week in my PM to you

you sure?? AFSwheels's site said their 24mm offset is 5.95" of backspace. The 05 wheels are 45mm offset which is about 3/4"

I have them on my '65 fastback. If I remember correctly I used 2" spacers all around. The 235/55/17's that come on them fit nicely in the rear but I am unable to turn the wheel the whole way in the front. I'm in the middle of engine work so I haven't gotten around to switching the tires yet. I have a set of Kuhmo 235/45 front and 255/45 rear to go on there. PM me your email if you want me to get you some pics as it sits.

100% positive on this one. Ford Parts site says 6.295" and I just sold my take off bullits to a judge that needed them. We measured them in person to be sure. They were a hair over 6 1/4"

yeah....thats why I was saying that you would need a 1.5" spacer and they are not exactly ideal for classics
