Hey guys / gals...

I was just watching the news and caught a glimps of a brand new Mustang GT that was street racing inside the city. The car crashed into a astro van and took the lives of 3 people. Racing is ment for the track!

The Mustang was Black with 2 silver stripes and the base buillet wheels...

Just thought that I would share.

I just saw that on our local news here although they didnt say what year the Mustangs were.So sad.I guess it is one thing if you want to kill yourself but to take someone else's life is inexcusable.

I know it stinks. I guess the Black Mustang was racing a silver one. The Black GT t-boned the van and the silver car is still on the loose. It's such a shame...

Here's a short article about the crash in the Detroit Free Press. The article definitely indicates that the Mustang had been stolen:

Yeah, The guy said that he was car jacked... But still people should have common sence when it comes to speed. I am not saying that any of us would do it, I just wanted to spread the word.

Agreed. Speed kills. So does drinking and driving.

The Subject line of this thread is in-correct.
The GT killed no one.
It was the idiot behind the wheel..

That is correct... I was pretty mad when I saw the news yesterday so I wasn't thinking well enough to come up with a whitty topic line...

Hopefully the 'Boys in Blue' can catch the guy responsible for
1) car jacking such a nice looking stang
2) taking 3 lives

I totally agree here. If you read into the story, you should ALWAYS disconnect the battery of your car whenever you leave it unattended. Cars don't kill, People do.

While drinking and driving can kill, the "speed kills" theme is crapola (God I love that sign)

Speed in and of itself, doesn't kill. Ask the tens of thousands of German commuters who see 100+ mph on the Autobahn every day.

Speed doesn't kill, poorly educated drivers do.

It's not the speed that kills ( not in cars anyway) it's that sudden stop that gets you. ( when you hit the wall or some other solid object)

You are right, it was the driver of the car that caused the accident. I just wanted to spread the word that street racing isn't the smartest idea...

I wonder if they ever caught the driver that was behind the wheel of the Mustang.?

Either way, race at the track and disable your cars when you park them (even though this car was car-jacked)

this is very sad andalso comes with the news of another death, My daughters best friend.

Woman killed in crash on Old St. Augustine

Yet another name was added Thursday morning to Leon County's list of traffic fatalities this year.

Aimee Lynn Lewis, 20, of Tallahassee, was killed when she lost control of her 2001 Pontiac going east on Old St. Augustine Road and ran into a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Lewis was using her seatbelt, the FHP said. The wreck is under investigation.

We are pretty sure that booz was a factor.

Hug your kids and tell them you love them!
