Looking to beef up my bottom end without spending too much....
Currently stock bottom 05 3v with 20k miles, edelbrock tvs putting 425 to the wheels. Looking to run some more boost and achieve 500-550 to the wheels, but I dont want to have the bottom end give out on me....
I've considered frpp 5.3 & brenspd 5.3 short blocks but both are around $6500.
Is it possible to build the 4.6 block with a decent crank, rods, and pistons to tolerate some boost and make 500-550 somewhat safely?
Recommended parts from others that have gone this route?
I'd like to budget around $4500 all said and done maybe?
Car is a weekend warrior only so I've decided not to blow my load on a full out build right now....
