not really sure I understand the benefit...the exhaust is only going to flow as much as the smallest restriction, so if you only have one 2 1/2 pipe coming into the muffler whats the point of having 2 coming out? Unless the muffler itself is restrictive enough on the one path that it NEEDS the second open, in which case I say swap mufflers and forget all that BS.

Sport bikes have a butterfly valve in the exhaust that helps regulate backpressure thru the powerband, mainly to aid bottom end torque...although it works, the first thing everyone does is toss the entire setup and get a nice titanium full exhaust+tune....i think its a nice idea, but waste of money...
