one thing i like about ours way better than the 05s is the feel. those feel huge on the inside i kinda like having a smaller feel. mine also feels like it has more torque than my bros. but his top end pull is worlds better than mine. those 3vs breathe much better than the 2v.

exactly. I love the new mustangs, my dad has a new 07 GT 5 speed which is stock right now, so ive done PLENTY of driving in the new stang. The thing is an animal, but it feels like im driving a boat. Its very comfortable, untill you try to rip on it around corners or pull in a parking spot.

for those 05+ cars to be in the 12's they are running sticky tires or dr's. our cars can do that too with those tires.

you can always just keep modding yours up. however, if you dont plan to go all the way with it, you would be better off tradding for something faster.

i think if you plan on a blower down the road then you will feel fine about your car.

No joke guys a friend of mine's friend (LOL) ran 12.9s on a bone 2000 GT with just MT tires and launching at like 6k. I saw it with my own two eyes!

I think 05+ have better rear ends also, can anyone confirm this?

But that is nuts about your friend's friend.

my buddy had almost the same setup that the OP is talking about...except instead of LT's he had a BBK twin 60mm throttle body....he ran a best of 12.78 with MT SLICKS....his street tire best was a 13.06 @ 107 with a 1.9 60'

that guy runnin 12.7 either has suspension mods or slicks.

yea its possible but his trap speed is probably 100mph lol vs. the 05+ being in the 104 range. and also launching at 6k those axles are going to take a dump pretty soon if u get a pretty solid hook lol.

The already did. LOL He only ran it at the track twice before he broke. It was pretty cool though seeing a bone stock GT run those times.

well if u wanna hear something crazy my buddy has a 5.0 stang with heads cams and all that good stuff and a 100 shot of zex. he has teh stock 28 spline axles and launches with mickey T drag radials at 5500 rpms and has not broken his axles yet. he also sprays it off the line. but he has launched it so hard he broke his seat like ripped it outta the floor lol.

but yea i figured they would let go after a few times of doing that lol.
