Cool, thanks for the link. Ya know, I'd mentioned to a salesman I regularly talk to at a local Ford dealership, and he acted dumb to all of the info that I mentioned, about the 'pony' edition, the two new colors, new wheels, etc.. I wonder if he was just playing dumb, since he's been trying to sell me one of the V6's that have been sitting on their lot for a few months?

My dealer didn't know anything about that stuff either until I told him, unless he was acting too because he had an 05 coming in that I didn't want.

He said Sonic Blue was being replaced but wasn't sure with what and was afraid to tell me becuse he didn't know so I told him. Then when I ordered it he didn't know it came with 18inch wheels as an option until I asked for them and he looked it up. With all that and not getting any copies of things I signed even though I asked for them... I'm not too sure I'm even going to get this car...

You guys are giving the salesman way too much credit. They know just enough to screw things up.

I am confident that the forum members here know 10X more about Mustangs than the salesman do AND we would make fantastic salesman for Mustangs! (if we so chose this as a hobby). Put it this way - if a potential buyer asked you about the 06 model, differences/changes between the 05 and 06, horsepower and torque numbers, TSB's, colors, options, interior amenities, wheels, tires, requirements for retuning the car, etc. - you could answer every one of the questions. That is b/c we love the Mustang and they just want to "off" the car for a sale! Whoa to the Mustang followers!

Nice link.

I don't like the Pony Edition grilll. Looks too cluttered with too many lines and details. The small fog lamps kinda suck too.

Actually I dont know much about the Mustang at all except that I know what I like, and I like the Mustang. I know a few things but when I read what some of you guys write I am about as confused as a baby in a topless bar.

All these upgrades and mods and whatever flys right over my head and comparison to the Chevys and all the other cars you talk about, I give a huge

That is not a very good synopsis If I were a baby in a topless bar, I would know what I wanted

I'm on the fence WRT the grille

But I do like having fog lamps, and I do like the pony 'n' bars on the front quarter panels.

I think I might end up going down to the parts department to snag a pair of the ponies when they start selling them at my dealership...

Man, that sucks going to all that trouble and not knowing if you're getting the car or not! That means you're just kind of stuck in that situation, right? I think I'd be buggin the hell out of somebody! But yeah, like you (and 05Stangster) said, most of us know more about the new 'stangs than the salesmen do!
