There were a ton of awesome cars and companies there today. For those who aren't familiar with the show, it's the Performance Racing Industry tradeshow. Everyone who is anyone in auto aftermarket/racing sets up there. Lots of cool stuff, machines, aftermarket equipment, trailers, rigs, etc. We were checking things out for future business, equipment and talking with some of our vendors/customers. Picked up a 2007 Ford Racing Catalog

I got to see the Galpin Autosports Boss 302 at the PRI show today. I couldn't take any pictures(cameras were banned and no camera phone) . I liked most of it, but I'm not liking the wheels, just too big. I did find a Link to some pictures and info about it. I like that a proper 302 is under the hood complete with shaker scoop.

There was also a few Ford GT's. One in particular caught my eye at the SCT booth, it was red with black stripes. The stripes were realistically flamed, including the oval. If that weren't good enough, a look at the dyno sheet was unreal! 1453hp and 1250lb/ft of torque at the wheels No that's not a typo. Twin turbo setup, block was machined and assembled by Al Pappito(aka Boss330). Other than the flames, it looked like any other Ford GT.

On the dyno drags, Christmas tree and all, there was an '06(?) Saleen Mustang that was running 10.50 at 137mph. The straps seemed loose and the car was jumping around alot more than I thought it should. The Corvette he was 'racing' didn't seem to move around at all, but it was only running 12.79.

A guy from www.hornblasters.com was there(outside with the dynos). He had a Mercury Marauder with an 11 trumpet train horn. 8 were in the trunk, 3 under the hood. Yes he torched it off, even though we were watching him the whole time from about 50' away we still kinda jumped. Those who didn't see it coming really jumped. I've never heard anything that loud and our shop is right next to tracks. It was insane, funny as hell, but insane. The vids on there website do not accurately show just how loud those things are.

My feet are killing me, there are 1,000,000 square feet of exhibits. It's free to attend BUT you have to prove that you work for an aftermarket manufacturer or are a member of a race team to get inside. They do check you out before giving you a badge, it took us 2hrs to get in last year. This year we pre-registered and walked right in.

Missed the PRI show this year but last year was a blast. I called a few people and they said the turnout this year was better. Wish I could have seen the Boss mustang. A friend of mine has one on order, just got his VIN number the other day.

Yea, and the idiot ended up loosing his credentials from the show supervisors, cop, and security ( non paying vendor at that)... Funny to watch him get busted!

Out of the entire show, I personally was taken back by one simple extremely smart invention.. www.icengineworks.com 3d modeling logo type pieces for building custom exhaust.

Nice cars, New Boss block looks VERY promising considering the price!

I doubt the owner would go for that. They do call to verify that you work where you say you do.

I'm a dept supervisor, we make forged pistons, clutch components, and cylinder blocks for motorcycles.

You mean the Hornblasters guy? Damn I missed that, I did see a show worker say something to him after he did it, she didn't look happy at all. That area of the parking lot wasn't very secure as far as people coming and going, but the guys just inside the overhead door were making sure everyone that walked back in had a badge.

I saw those, that looked pretty ingenious. One of those things you look at and say why didn't I think of that.

I'm liking both the block and car for sure! Redsnk95 be sure to post some pictures of your friends Boss when he receives it.
