Pretty sure that’s my problem. Radio cut out first followed by my cluster. I know they have problems with these alternators from what I’ve read, my question is is there a durable replacement that anybody can point out to me?
Well, not a Stang alternator. But on both my 98 Ranger and my 04 Lightning, I put it NAPA alternators. I always go there before anywhere else. The one in the Lightning, I did that in 2014. Was coming home from Thunder Valley one night. The lights started dimming about halfway home. I managed to get it home and tucked away in the garage. I did a battery first, since the truck still had the original at the time. Didn't fix it, so put in an alternator. Both are still in the truck today, six years later.
