Not sure if there are any other 08 owners here besides me but...

I'm worried that something is up with my clutch. It's very loose when compared to a buddy's 05 that I drove today (stock clutch) I don't feel that it's slipping or anything and it never was stiff to begin with but I'm thinking something is up. Either Ford changed something with the clutch in 08 or my ***** is broken.

Compared to other S197's how does your clutch feel? Loose? About the same? Stiff?

Thx

Playing with my wife's really makes me want one.

The clutch and shifter in my '07 feel a lot different than my '05. The clutch in my '05 is stiffer, but the shifter is very sloppy. My shifter in my '07 feels almost like a Hurst, but the clutch is a bit looser.

They must have changed it in 06. My clutch is a lot more stiff than my buddies who has an 06. It almost feels like I have an aftermarket clutch if you go from his to mine it's so radically different.

My 08 feels fine.... but this is the first manual I've owned, so I don't have enough experience on other manuals to be able to compare.

Yeah I spoke with the service manager @ my dealership. he said the clutches in the 08's are a lot more loose than the previous year S197s. He didn't meantion (for lack of knowledge) what exactly Ford did with the clutches in the 08's but he did inform me about the upgraded Fuel Rail in the 08's
