1/2 quart of oil over in my motor, any problem ?????

I just change my oil in my car and after the road test i saw that i have like 1/2 quart over the full line, does i have to remove the 1/2 quart or i can leave it in withtout any problem

You should remove it. But in all liklihood it won't hurt anything.

In most cases its better to have too little oil than too much. I would take the extra time to get it right so you dont take any chances.

did you actually put 5 quarts in and it reads high? some foxes have mismarked dipsticks - i would have hoped they fixed that by your vintage, but you never know.

as long as there is not so much that it is being whipped by the crank, no biggie.

if its a lil high then it will burn off a lil. 1/2 a quart is kinda close to too much but as long as you arent near a quart over then ur ok. buddy put in 6.5 quarts in his car before. god i almost slapped him

Not even that will hurt it. It will take .5% of your power in windage, that's all.
