Hi.
I have a 04 GT (auto) with just BBK cold air intake on it, I saw those E.T times on the magazines but my times aren't even closer (15.95 at the best) how can improve? I launch at 2000 RPMs, Tract Control off, and I have the Diablo Predator to set the shifts RPM's at 5150 RPMs, is that ok? The alttitude is about 3200 feet above the sea level
Any good settings (for tthe Diablo, Shift RPM, lean/rich, etc) to improve the hardware?
Thanks
Fer

15.95! What do you mean you launch at 2000rpm's, you dont rev up and drop it into drive do you? Do you leave it in drive and rev up to 2000 then floor it on the light? If your doing that then you probably have zero traction. I think a lot of people with autos launch off idle. Also I think 5150rpms is a little too early, try around 5500.

Yea my guess would be around 5600-5800, and I would put my foot on the brake and push gas down until RPMs come up to about 1100-1200, then let off brake and push the gas down at a fast rate, then you should get a good time.BTW if you start spinning, stop your increase of gas and hold your current position unless your punched, then back off a little.Hope that helps.

Yeap, I change to drive, then rev up to 2000 RPM with the left foot on the brake, when the green light comes I left the brake and press the gas as fast as I can. I do with the traction control off.
And I want to come close to those ETs, but I'm too faaaaaaaaaaar away.
Thanks a lot for your time
Fer
P.S. My birthday present was a 4.1 gear that I'm planning to install this week
