Just got back from the track for the first time......I just knew I would be low 13's and hoped break 12's if I was lucky
1st run-14.231 with a 2.261 60 @99.75mph

2nd-14.112 w/2.224 60 @98.69mph

3rd-14.16 w/2.228 @100.11- Now let's figure this out.......

I held the brake and rev'd it until she was ready to spin.....every time I launched I "did not" spin........
What I assume is my malfunction at this point is the 2300 stall...........
I hammered it every time and could not get under 2.......I am now searching for a 3000 stall.......Your guys input would be appreciated..
Will

With your HP levels it should trap in the 104-106 MPH range. With good 60's you should be in the low 13's at least. I really don't have any input but to say a looser converter may be in order.

I know what it feels like to be dissapointed at the track- today I found out my traction-lok is busted and spun my way to a best ET of 14.6 (no nitrous). I was expecting high 13s (no nitrous).

Anyway, getting your 60 down to 1.8 would get you around 13.5.

Get a 3000 RPM stall converter. That ****ing 2300 piece is LESS stall than stock!

And yeah, you're MPH is a little low, but address one thing at a time. Get a new converter and take it from there.

...and quite honestly, you'd cut better times with 4.10s instead of those 3.73s. The AODE's first gear is very numerically low.

Thanks guys....I am talking to Don now and looking at the 9 inch edge, which I should have went with to begin with. I don't know any other way to get a quicker 60 because I wasn't spinning at all.....and I will start looking into lower gears....

Suspension isn't going to help at this point- as he said, he isn't spinning so it isn't going to make much difference.

An Edge 3000 RPM stall and some 4.10s will wake that beast up ALOT.

WTF!? What ****ing track do you go too!?

I also saw two Evo's go 10s, a black Cobra with a big purge, and a ****ing 14 second Duster. I saw a couple new Mustangs in the staging lanes but didn't see them run.

If you get a higher stall, just make sure you have good tires. Its hard for me to not spin with my stock power and a 3k stall.

Goddamn drakesdad, THAT is ****ing weird...I was at Pittsburgh Raceway Park, and I swear I saw the same cars. Everyone was in awe at one of the EVOs as it ran down a 10 second Chevelle slick car...

gcomfx or gcomfx.com is his username...VERY helpful guy, gave me lots of information before I bought my own Edge converter.

I think his site is www.100mphclub.com

Hey guys..... First off unless I'm mistaken, the stock stall is 1,800 so his stall is slightly larger than stock, but not much. The other thing I see that will GREATLY improve the situation is NOT footstalling, brake stalling, preloading, whatever you want to call it. My car cut better 60fts with launching from an idle. Footstalling would make the car bog and not spin. Unless you have an ungodly amount of HP for the launch, our pig AODE's need a little wheel spin to keep the power up and the car moving.

BTW - movie is here: http://www.100mphclub.com/movies/edgestall.mov

My car cuts consistant 2.0x and even 1.9x on occassion with street tires and bone stock suspension. I can't juice the line currently, but have some drag launch springs to try soon.

My car has been a PITA this last year with running... but things are definately looking better. My club's track rental day is May 13th. I'll be taking two bottles and drag radials with the springs on the car and hopefully my 6AL working. Should be an interesting day.

Paul.....what do you know....LOL....your right on the money with what I was told by the tech at Edge two hours ago.....he stated it as double peddling........told me to only go up around 1k and then stomp it....if I spin then go up 400 rpms......and keep trying......thanks for the info

LOL - It took me a couple trips to the track to figure it out with my car. It's hard to make yourself practice N/A runs when you have a bottle sitting there waiting for a switch to be turned on.

Glad I could be of some assistance, even if it was a little late.

Yup, not the best way to heat up a bottle, but it works. LOL I personally don't have a bottle warmer. It loses a bit in the winter time, but a Zex kit does well to adjust to lower bottle pressures and still get some HP out of it. So I just drop the rear seats down to let the car warm up the trunk area.

I need an alert emailed to me when the term AODE comes up in our section. LOL

Hey that's an idea.....maybe Joe or Paul can set that up...........I don't see a lot of "slush box's " on here so it might not be too bad....
