I would like to know how accurate the 1/4 mile dyno runs are? If you have done a 1/4 mile dyno run and then actual 1/4 mile run on the track please post your numbers for both.

you have to remember that the 1/4 mile dyno runs on the dyno are much better than on the track because there is no wheel spin and no other variables to screw you up.

Take a trip to the track

is your fastback blue or black... are you from San Diego?

My fastback is black. I'm in northern ca. near Sacramento. The question was for my brothers 1995 lightning. I'm still a long way from getting my car going. I purcahsed my fastback a year ago April after it had been in stoarage since 1986, he gave me a box of chrome parts wrapped in newspaper from 1984. It has a lot of options and it is a rust free California car.

Well here is an update on my brothers 1995 lightning. The simulated 1/4 mile numbers on the dyno were best at 12.39 @110 with a 1.789 60ft. Last night we took it out to track and best pass was 13.10 @ 101.98 with a best 1.77 60 ft. The one thing we did see is that when it ran on the dyno the fuel ratio was 11.7 and during the passes last night it was 10.5 entire way down the track. Not sure how much of a difference that makes in performance.
