Considering widening my rear wheels, would like to verify my thoughts on fitment

I haven't done anything with these wheels yet.
Packed them up, then tire kicked deciding on 9.25 and 9.5 for weeks.
I know it's only a quarter of an inch, but i'm still of the opinion that the square size wheel with a 275 tire is 9.5+. There is no scenario where i go past 9.5, it would surely require a large spacer, so if that's the best i can do, it is what it is at that point. I'm not putting the 3 inch studs back in, though i do have 1/4 MM spacers on hand to use if absolutely necessary.
I'm not suggesting anyone with a 9 is wrong, but it would not be my preference and after all I did run 275s on an 8.5 which i would truly deem a mistake.
As luck would have it, the tires that match my relatively new fronts came back in stock, i was thinking they were gone forever.
So I ordered them, should be here tomorrow. They are among the cheapest, but still well reviewed by road racers of the Super 200 tire category. The kuhmo v730. Dangerous in the rain and poor treadwear but those aren't two things i care about, i don't drive far from home very often and i can't see myself driving this car in the rain, period, i could get it stuck in wet grass on flat ground...
To be clear, i'm not road racing, but that type of tire is one of the few soft compounds available in many sizes.
I am curious on the bead width of these tires their natural unmounted form.

I don't take a lot of car pics, but here is a recent one.
Also some pics of the wheels I plan on having modded. In it's current form it's completely bare aluminum after i had the chrome stripped.
Came out better than i thought honestly. I had the set from my Saleen Explorer Xp8 stripped years ago and NJ winters and crappy saleen chrome work left one wheel pretty much unusable and the rest in mediocre condition. I'm not a fan of chrome or polishing, but something about how this set came out tells me to polish them all. Or go black with a red stripe around the border and put the molding on the car back to black.
This video was done 16 years ago (I've changed quite bit since then, but you get the idea), when my buddy still owned his shop. Previously before it was Big Daddy performance it was a much smaller shop as Outrageous Mustangs. No that is not him or me, that's Mikey, Dwayne is much tanner, lol.

Wheels are on their way back this week. Took about 2 weeks, they said 4 originally.
I'll be having them refinished right away, I have a wheel repair/refinishing place around the corner and they do them in 1 day.
Should be able to make a real world comparison on how wheel width and size affect clearance.
This was done to my spare set and I have new tires so they can be tested back to back with what is on the car now. I also have a spare front spindle I been using as test bed for radial mount 14 inch brakes (just have to bring myself to accept $700 in rotor rings and $650 for custom made hats), I can easily mount a wheel and check to see how things change.

These guys take labelling pretty serious, name and dimensions written 360 degrees. I'm sure it's to avoid cutting the wrong wheel the wrong way.

So wheels are done and tires are one.
Judging my the tightest spot where it has rubbed in the past, i've now gained clearance everywhere on the inside. I think pushing the wheel out and then spreading the tire out properly actually got me more clearance than i was asking for.
I'd almost go as far as to say i could have went another 1/4.
With that said, I also feel like 9.5 is the perfect size wheel for a 275 and vice versa so going to 9.75 probably wouldn't have done me any good.
With a level across the tire, the tire sits about as square as it's going to get.
And while i don't normally park near any curbs, if i do, it's not going to take much pressure to scrape a wheel.
The picture makes the tire look a little narrow, i assure you, it's not. The center of the tire sticks out about 3/16 to the lip.
On my other set, the widest part of the tire stuck out 3/4 of an inch.
As far as adding 20mm to offset which pushed the wheels out roughly 3/4, i don't see any issues with rubbing, to my surprise, the tires are still tucked a little bit. I now can see how 10 inch wheels fit on a fox. With the perfect width and offset i could see someone safely getting a 285 on there. I'm not much of a risk taker, so not sure that guy is me.
