what is better on a stock short block 1.6 or 1.7 rockers?

what kind of advantage do you get out of the 1.7?

1.7 gives you more lift out of your cam.

The valve increases (in lift) from .444" to .472" this allows more air into and out of the engine. Chances are however that the stock valve springs are worn out on higher mileage motors. So there is a possibility of valve float at lower RPM's.

Quite a few people on the boards have 1.7's on their cars and report no issues though.

1.7's stock or with B cam is what I always heard.

if i have 58cc chambers will the pistons have to be notched to avoid contact or can i run the stock shortblock?
