im thinking about goin to the track this weekend, but it a 1/8th mile track, and i was wondering what i should expect to run, everyone is always talking about 1/4 mile so i dont know what to expect in the 1/8 mile, its an all stock auto

With my mods I ran low 8.60s in the 1/8th. I never baselined mine in stock form, but I would guess in the neighborhood of a 9.0???

My best of nine runs was 10.310 @ 70.98, best Reaction Time .536 (.499 is a redlight), best 60 foot time 2.49. Qualcomm Stadium, not much above sea level.

The car is a 2006 V6, stock except a K&N drop-in filter and a Ford Racing Performance Products M-5230 GTA muffler, GT takeoff Bullitts with the Pirelli PZero Nero 235-55 17 tires.

It was my first drag racing in nearly 40 years, and great fun. I plan on doing it again this coming Friday, July 20. Gates open at six pm, doesn't get really crowded until 7:30 or 8. I was able to make a run, get back in line, and do it again without much of a wait. Nine runs for $30, in just over an hour? Not a bad evening's entertainment value.

I suppose it will be even more fun if I ever spend the dollars to get a tune.

most stangs i see here at the local 1/8th are running about 9.0. i am running 8.80 consistently, but only manage consistent 2.15 60ft times. my mph is in the 83.x range, so i know the times dont quite match up with the speed. my times should be faster based upon my speed. i dont feel that track prep is very good at my track sometimes i can about loose it on the 1-2 shift.

i will see if my photobucket account has any timeslips, and i will post them for you to compare to your when you get to the track.

here are my times from the last outing. i am trying to get to the track again to test out my LCA relocation brackets. i feel an improvement on the street, and i am hoping that it also shows at the track.

When my car just had an intake, tune, and lcas I ran a best 8.58 at 82 mph. Since your stock I would guess between 9.2-8.9.
