Engine 1" header bolts

Hey guys!

Just got a set of bbk shorty headers. Which size header bolts do I need? Im going with the stage 8 locking set. The stock bolts are 3/4" but the flange on the bbk's are thicker, would the 1" be ok?

How thick is the header flange?
How deep is the header bolt hole in the head?
Those two measurement will give you an answer to how long the header bolt should be.

I cant measure right now, my cars in storage, was wondering if anyone installed the 1" with no probs. Thxs

I have 1” bolts with my JBA headers. The 3/4” were too short with the thicker flange.

I previously had BBk headers. Let me go look at what I used.

I used the pro form locking 1 inch bolts,got them on Amazon , been working fine,and easier to install then stage 8.

get 1" bolts and remflex gaskets. you will have no problems with loosening

I got both sitting out of the way w/o their regular packaging
and forgot what I have. All I remember is one was way better...
