It seems that my car is pulling 1 wheelers. So i'm wondering how much does it cost to have the traclock rebuilt, what are my options? ANyone have any experience with any places selling rebuild kits? Any input would be appreciated.

Well since you are aware that only one is spinning it might be better off that way, since one tire is less expensive than two :D

Seriously .... buy a new trak-lok unit for a 28 spline axle (if that is what you got?) ... that's the easy fix, unless you are intelligent enough to buy the inexpension trac-lok rebuild kit, follow instructions and make it work.

... That's all I have to say about that. - Forrest Gump

My dad is very good with cars so between the 2 of us i'm sure we can rebuild it. I was just wondering what all options there were, where as a new traklock or a rebuild kit... Just wondering what kinda differences there are in prices.

One tire might be cheaper than 2 sure, but I mean.. I dropped the clutch at 3k and just sat there, didn't move.. One tire spinning is the SUX

Im in the same boat right now. Having a friend of mine rebuild it at his shop. Hooking me up for $150. However, I do have a link w/pics that show the disassembly of the t-loc unit. Gimme a few to find it and i'll post it up.

Cool, I'd appreciate it... I think that's the route i'm going to go. I'll buy a rebuild kit from 50resto and just rebuild the ****er. On average how long do these things last for? As far as I know its got the same trac-lock on it from factory so if this rebuilt one even lasts 1/2 as long as this one then that's more than enough.
