10% ethanol junk has junked my car

Yeah I'll get around to the filter next. I guess places that are just now getting 10% are having the problems. Few guys in my area having the same symptoms.

actually me, my GF, and a few buddies are headed up the roses cruise-in in the boro this coming fri night. as of right now, there will be 5 of us with mustangs going ( all from mcminnville ). hope to get a few more to go. weather permitting, there will be a 95gt, 94gt, two 96 gt's and a 04 mach. shoot me a email if you go and we could meet up

FYI many states DO ship refined Gas by tanker! ie refined in Houston then shipped to Fla by tanker to a storage facility ie GATX. It can also be shipped by rail to inner states that do not have ports available. To say only crude oil is shipped by tanker is incorrect.

Correct, that is why I posted "gasoline is generally not shipped". For the nation as a whole ocean liners do not carry the majority of refined fuel. There are area's that do get it shipped via ocean liners but not the largest % of the US. Pipeline, Rail, Barge, and non ocean going craft handle the bulk of gas movement. There are tons of areas that can mix fuels along the process line, that is why testing is done at the pumps as well to get an avg. octane rating grade sticker.

I am not saying it does not happen just that it is not something everyone in the nation really needs to worry about...there are more local factors/issues that put real strain on costs.
