so im looking for sum more power for around $5-600 bucks. seems like gears would be nice on the street at lights, but its seems most of my driving is on the highway and i cruise at 80mph and like to punch out up 100mph when the coast is clear so every time and ocassionally liek to get up 115-125 ranges. I dont want to not be able to hang with other faster rides at high speeds or revving out a control so Which gears do guys recommend??? power on the steets and on highway at my speeds

I recommend you stop driving like an ass, before you kill somebody.

You could just save your money for the traffic ticket your eventually going to get, if anything is left after court cost and all, you can put it towards H/C/I and a 347 or something to keep you busy when your lisence is suspended after you get done with your community service hours.

I admitt it, I get some pretty good speed in short burst as long as there is no traffic, and I mean no traffic. However you take the risk of being caught, and being the "lone ranger" you get picked off pretty easily. I live in the Atlanta area, you have to do 80mph just too keep up with traffic. I run 3.73 gears taching 3Krpm's at that speed. 4th gear tops out around 115mph, but I don't go higher than that very often. I recomend 3.27's or 3.55's. Maby a full roll cage might be a good idea, if that 'vert flips over, your history.

well first off, I'd like to say on the driving habits. Might be a good idea to step it down a tad, although I can kinda see where you are coming from

Personally for me gears wise, I would go with 3.55s, maybe 3.73s. I think 3.73s would be the max for me, once you consider things like highway driving, yikes dont know If I would want to go any higher than that! haha

3.55's for sure, if you want to reach such a high speed. Although with a 3.73 you should be able to as well. It's not so much about being able to reach those speeds, but how quickly you can. I'd juggest adding 3.55's first, and then doing some engine stuff.

And like the others, I don't condone driving at such a crazy speed. You may not value your life very much (considering how unsafe a stock mustang tin can is to start with), but there are other motorists out there.

That being said, I regurarly hit 110 on the drag strip before I let off, and I have 3.55's in there, and there is plenty of gear left. Of course, there's no pavement left, either, so I have to stop.

Oh yeah, and one final word of advice. Before you see how fast you can go, upgrade your brakes.
