10psi

I have just taken apart my top end to replace all the gaskets and make sure everything is still in good shape, when I put the engine back togeather and tried to start it, it would turn over but it would not start. The spark was good and it was getting air so I figured the fuel, when I took the line off and turned the key to on position the fuel came out but very slow, not with any force and there was like 10psi of pressure on my line gauge. I by passed the fuel filter to double check and still got the same pressure, does this mean its my fuel pump? I need to replace for future turbo anyways but dont want to put one in and still have the same problem. Any help would be great! thanks

If you did not hear the fuel pump come on when you turned on the ignition, that's probably it.

There might be a relay or bad connection at fault too.

Check everything and make sure before you go replacing the fuel pump.

There was still fuel coming out of the feed line connected to the engine but just bad pressure and the fuel filter is new but I also checked it just incase. So I dont know if it is bad wiring. Do you know were the relay for the fuel pump is? I can hear the pump turn on also so its still some what working and the battery is fully charged also.

I am guessing that it is my fuel pump that is going, I have checked the filter and removed the pump to find whoever installed the "new" pump before I got the car forgot to put a sock on the pump. I have ordered a walboro 255 and hope it will perform better. Also I am thinking that the pump has been going bad the whole time and has been robbing me of power, as stated on other forms all my mods and only 191hp to the wheels, maybe there was pressure but no volume in the fuel. I have also been reading forms with indications of a pump going bad, hard starting, pinging on high load, bad idleing, stalling and loss of power. I should be getting the pump in the mail by the middle of this week and after install I will keep this thread posted with the results on pressure and performance. Also can anyone please let me know how you can have good pressure but bad volume? I know its possible but would think the pressure would drop on high loads.
Thanks!
