11psi pulley on and running

Ive been running 12/13 boost on my stock automatic 01, 90 maf, 42 injectors, 70mm tb, dragon intake & spacer with a mail in diablo chip for 1k miles. I am going soon to get a tune and dyno thou. I have not had any problems it all and can easily spin the tires (now toyo 275's in the rear) at 40 mph.

Are you actually running the 12psi or 13psi pulley or are you just seeing that much psi with a lower pulley? What octane gas are you running? Did you have to install the Boost-A-Spark at those boost levels like the KB website recommends?

any of you other guys running high boost on any blower having issues?

how would you even know if you have a heating issue, just from the temp gage

What kind of issues. There is always something that comes up with a blower car..
The want for more power is the main one that causes issues.

It depends on the amount of boost.I seen 18+ psi on my old vortech and had no spark issues. But i do have to install on my kb setup(15+ psi)..

I'm hoping I can get away with doing the 11psi pulley. This is maxing out the "octane formula" I keep hearing about with a KB. Or for the 1.7L at least. 1.5 octane higher for each psi higher pulley. So 11psi would work out to 94 octane :D I'm already "close" to the edge.. why not be right on it :p

LOL ok.With a blower car you NEVER want to be on the edge .But hey its yours blow it up how you see fit.

oh sorry i meant to say heating issues. what im trying to find out is i want to run about 10-14 psi on the novi 2000. i heard that the kb cause some heating problems, and i was wondering if the paxton would be any better as far as that is concernd. also wondering if i can run on 93 octaine pump gas?

All blowers create heat .How the car is tuned for it is another ..
If you want 14+ psi better plan on a forged shortblock.93 can make some good numbers.I made mine on 93.

cool im gonna have Vt engines build me an engine. well it will take me a while to get to that step so the builder could chane by then, but that is how i feel now.

it is going to take so long, cause im broke, and im trying to build this car right the first time. (hard thing to do) blower is going to be the absolute last thing.
