where in the drivers side engine bay can I find a 12V key on wire? i know about the low coolant sensor but mine is being goofy for some reason.. what are my other choices?
there are several places you can tap 12v with key on from the drivers side-if you've got a haynes or chilton manual with a wiring diagram, and a multimeter (they're worth their weight in gold IMO) you can find one with no sweat.
red w/ green stripe is a good one for 12v ign hot though...it should be in the dark red connector that ties your chassis harness to the injection harness...it normally resides right around the brake booster or master cyl on the FI cars
I removed my computer due to my carbed engine swap, and now I need a 12v ignition source as well. Any ideas? (Sorry to hijack thread, but it is the same general idea).
like i mentioned in the last reply...red w/green stripe is a good one under the hood, or poopdawg said, positive side of the coil works too...the FI stangs have TONS of places to tap 12v, just grab a multimeter and start probing
