So that was my best time out of the 10 runs I did on my first visit to the track today. Does this look normal? My timeslip is in the car but the 60 ft was a 2.3x and I trapped at 97.xx mph.
There was a LS2 GTO that ran a 14.51, a 07 Roush 427 R did low 14s, and a GT500 ran a 13.9.

I guess the 88 degree weather didn't help. But I had a blast out there and now I know what it means to :Track:

And oh BTW, my car weighed in at 3675 lbs with me (150 lbs) in it. That's w/ half tank of gas, the Shaker sub, and no spare tire.

I have a bone stock 09 GT Auto and it runs 13.7 with my daughter driving.

Were you having traction problems? Shifting problems?

If you would like to go faster, the first thing is some gears, then a tune, and a K&N. But you should be in the 13s allready.
 
Your 60' times are hurting you. Just need to practice your launching more. Sticky tires such as drag radials, lower and upper control arms would a help. The DA also plays a factor. A 14.6 with a DA of around 3200' is about 14.1 at sea level.
 
Calculating density altitude, you were actually racing at the equivalent of around 6000 feet, because of your actual altitude, temp, humidity, and barometric pressure.

That actually equates to a corrected time of
13.525 @ 104.743 MPH

Sounds much better, huh?
 
Something to be said about your 60ft times. I've always heard that every 10th you can knock out of your 60ft times = 2/10ths on your final time. So consider this:

2.3 down to 2.0 = 3/10ths x 2 = 14.6 down to 14.0
2.3 down to 1.8 = 5/10ths x 2 = 14.6 down to 13.6

Then if you consider your times at your area (3192ft) you could possibly get that down to the lower 13 seconds, right in the range where these stock mustangs with a good driver run.

As much as I'd like to think that's my corrected time, the DA in the thread title is already "DA corrected."
The elevation was at 1002 feet in 88 degree weather, and according to the calculator that's just over 3000 ft corrected.
Or am I missing something? I'm the guy that just ran 2.3 60ft times so what do I know lol.

I did have trouble getting into 2nd and spun badly off the line on my first runs and resulted in a more embarrassing 15.3 second timeslips.
The 14.6 is with clean shifts and with some traction issues. I couldn't launch higher than 2500 because I'd break loose.
I think I'd better work on my driving before I start modding though. But thanks for your input.

Oh, gotcha. Didn't see that. I was wondering how you were 3000+ feet in GA LOL.

Then yeah, that's a bad time. But even the MPH is low. What are your mods?

When you do a DA you need track elevation, temp, humidity and baro pressure


but with some sticky tires in better air you will run easy mid 13's
 
Yeah what can I say too many video games. I am just used to flooring it and taking off, too bad it does not work that way in reality. I know this is a little off topic but I am thinking about getting 3:73's, a CAI with a tune, and a short throw shifter. What times do you think I will get?

Not wanting to start a war here but 13.5 @104.7 in the 1/4 for a stock mustang, I would like to see it. Maybe down hill.
