I've recently started breaking my 93 gt project down to a shell and plan on swapping in the 2014 gt500 powerplant with a t56 , will also be using a holley efi stand alone system and I'm just looking around for any tips or problems I may run into along the way. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Haven’t seen that done on this site. Sounds like an an awesome build, and I will certainly follow it even though I don’t have any advice.

It's honestly only because I had already purchased the kit when I was going to build a 427 but changed course to go with something a little diff and just figured since I have the kit already in would use it I could always sell it if i change my mind

Damn how did you score a trinity? That’s an engine I don’t see up for sale very often.

I’d use the Holley ecu as well, and it’s an easy choice since you already have it.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Check out some of the Coyote swap groups. There is a "Coyote Swapped Fox Bodies" group on facebook that has a lot of good info. I know you aren't using a Coyote engine, but a lot of the same stuff applies. For example, you can use the same swap K-member for a modular or a Coyote. There is also no room for a vacuum brake booster with any of the overhead cam engines, and all the late model cars came with electric power steering, so no mechanical power steering pump. You can put a Mustang hydroboost system on it, and supply pressure to it with an OEM electric power steering pump out of a Volvo CX70. That's just a few examples of solutions people have come up with.

That’s pretty awesome. The 5.8 is definitely one badass engine, can’t wait to see it progress.

Definitely going to take lots of pictures and write ups on the process of getting it all worked out that way it will be easier for others to do the swap

Going to be bad ass swap . If there is anything I can help with I did a coyote swap back before they were everywhere in 2013 . So don’t hesitate . The Holley as well it’s a sick system . I have it in my coupe for 2 years already . You won’t regret it. Just make sure you have the right harness for ignition and stuff . Any help Holley related on the install as well shoot me a pm . I have done mine and another system where I completely cut the harness and made a screw on fire wall connector as well .

This looks to be an awesome job and we always love our pictures on here. Very interested in seeing how you put this combo together.

What are you final plans for the car drag, road course, cruizer?

Final plans is it will be mostly a really fun street/ strip car. I'm part of a large mustang group here in new orleans and we attend alot of shows and events so I really wanted to stand out from the crowd. That's why I'm choosing to build the fox over going buy a new one

You have come to the right place then. A lot of us are here like to build things that are different including myself. I choose to incorporate the new technology into our body style of cars.

Yea I plan on tackling the interior with some much needed modern touches once I get the drivetrain and suspension right. Yea I have kids and all so I'm gonna notch the back seat so I can still squeeze some mini tubs in there and still jeep the backseats. Want to make it a fully capable street car that looks good and can still handle itself on the track

I don't think I've ever seen it done with an 11 or newer 5.8.
Isn't the TB drive by wire?
How do you solve that aspect without the ford racing control pack?

Ford racing has a few choices for mechanical throttle bodies that will work. If not my fab guy said he can make an adapter plate for a mechanical TB that will work.

Holley will do it or you can run the cable throttle body
