the complete lack of traction my stang has is getting old and need to get some new stickier tires for my ten holes on my GT. read the reviews, but it seems like a lot of the more streetable drag radials dont come in a 15 inch size that has a decent sized sidewall (larger) i have seen the mickey thompson indy profile ss with the hot and sticky compound at a shop (also seen here http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/street.html) and wondering what you guys think of this. not looking for the craziest tire, just something to fit my ten holes, maybe last 10,000 miles or so (is this unrealistic) and get into the 1.9 or 1.8 60ft times, what do you guys recommend? are my expectations unrealistic?

not sure how long the indy profiles last, but when they warm up, they deffinitly have no problem gripping the road.

I run 275/50/15 BFG drag radials on my 10 holes. They hook pretty well, got a 1.9 60' out of them when motor was n/a.

It seems most all these DR's need a good break-in before they start working good. I've heard good and bad about all of them. They're probably all pretty decent IMO. I just found a local guy that had these used BFG's so I decided to give them a try, not dissapointed.

How the sidewall flex on the BFG's compared to something like say Nitto DR's? Im looking at the MT's or the BFG's.

I'm looking to get a set of DR's soon too. How many miles can you get out of a pair of MT's compared to Nittos. I know BFG DR's generally wear out faster than those two.
