I came to the realization last night that I have been on this site for 15 years as of this year. Holy crap.
When I joined stangnet, I was a 17 year old kid going into my senior year of high school with my first car- a 1990 2.3L LX hatchback.
Today I'm 32, married, own a house, finally have that V8 Mustang I lusted after when I was 17. And surprisingly, during that 15 year span I've only been through four vehicles: My old LX (which I kept for 7 years), a 1994 Tempo (winter beater), my old '87 Turbo Coupe (which I also kept for 7 years), and my old F-250 that I would have kept had I not lost my job, then got another with too long of a commute for it to be economically feasible.
I've been on Stangnet for longer than I held any job...longer than I was in grade school & high school! I've been on here 3x as long as I've known my wife.
I made a couple good friends through this site over the years (though I don't think any of them are regulars here anymore), and of course there are always lots of familiar usernames around as well.
I don't come on here as much as I used to, I don't post a lot, and the site is not as busy as it used to be...but Stangnet is like that old familiar friend who is always there, who you can't help but stop in and visit. I'm still here almost daily, lurking!
It's definitely crazy to think about. Time flies!
