You can try it.

Maybe you will get lucky maybe you wont but its definately not a very smart idea unless you have another motor ready.

Do it.

But before you do, draft up a quick thread that goes like this:

"Hey guys, I ran a 150 shot and smoked that SRT-4! Yeah, I had him from the hole to the end by 4 car lengths. Funny thing is I heard this awful pop noise and the engine just quit. Can you tell me what happened?"

Just be careful and be ready to get a new motor is all.

If he's in the 11s, you're going to get beat anyways. That will be great, get beat by a SRT and blow my engine. Please post a video of this. You can't get there with your car and a 150 shot, even if it holds.

Seriously, if you've already run 10 bottles at 100, you've done damage you haven't seen already. Running it hard at 150 might get a couple of hard pulls. Be ready to check into purchasing internals or a new 99+ engine soon, if you follow through. Let us know!

jet it for 125, the fuel delivery is what may get bad at 150. It has been done. If you do it for long and lean out?? well , I think you know. I had friends run 150 NX wet many times. The engine did die though. Again, I would worry more about the fuel pump keeping up.

there is no jets for a 125 you have to special order them through nx. 150 is not very smart.

Here's my take.

A 150 shot on a basically stock engine takes you to what, 300rwhp? Maybe? (for the few seconds you spray.)

Then you spray and break a rod or blow a cylinder, blow up your intake, or something.

So after you factor in what you spent on the nitrous initially, a new forged shortblock to replace the one you just blew up, and the man-hours, you could've bought a 9psi KB, a dyno tune, and still been putting down almost 100 more hp at the wheels all day long, without having to refill any bottles.

Hrmph.

with a 150 definately over 300
gotta do some reading nx is rated at the wheels

if my car has a 150 at the wheels im gonna burn it to the ground

but u are right about not haveing to fill bottles up every weekend
to much money 30 bucks a botlle

Have you done the PI swap? If not, I doubt you are much over 300 spraying. I see what you're saying though, my math was a tad off before.

I just love that picture. If you really dont care about the engine and plan on selling the car or buying a new engine, then do it. Oh, but take a video camera and post the results, i have never heard a rod actually snap...so it will be cool to hear.

In all seriousness, I wouldnt do it, but you may not break anything the first few times you do it...
