I recently purchased a 2016 GT Premium Black Accent Convertible. Is this a dealer option or a factory option? I'm curious of how rare this combo is. Thanks.
In 17, the black accent was an option available on most colors from the factory, but you mostly see it on black cars. My best guess is that it was the same in 15 and 16 model years. Eventually you will be able to get a Marti report on your car and then you will know how many were made with that color combo.
As soon as the Marti reports are available for the S-550 mustangs I want to get one for mine, I already know that grabber blue was a one year only color, but how many convertibles with a manual trans and the performance pack were made? I'm guessing not many.
I called Marti Auto works today to inquire when they would have the marti reports available for the S-550 mustangs. They said they just got the records for the 14's last year and had no idea when the newer stangs would be available. My best guess is around three years after the end of the current body style ends, so maybe around 2024. The next Mustang is supposed to be out for 21, so three years later would put us about 24.
