You can't do it like that. If you are running 5-lug axles with a spacer and want to run longer axles, you need a matching brake setup to match the axle's longer lenght. The only setup close enough is an SN95 setup but it's 0.75" longer than stock each side. I doubt 10.5" rims will fit sticking that far out

a stock 5 lug axle with a 1/2 inch space will work. i just wanted to know what axles comes 1/2 inch longer so i don't have to use the spacer. the stock rear brake setup won't work ?? is that what ur saying??

Your brakes are mounted to the axle tube, so if you just change the axle length your rotor/drum will be farther away from your brake bracketry, and that aint good. What size tire are you going to run and what year is the car. You'll need at least a 315 tire since the next size down is 295 which is too narrow and doesnt look right. Be careful with this setup because unless done right it looks kinda gay with the rim sticking out and then you cant lower the back so you get the stinkbug stance going on. If done right, its tight.

Exactly.

Longer axles won't work with current brake setup.

this is on a 91 notchback i will be useing a 275 tire i have seen it on a notchback already. the bf 275 tire is just as wide as the nitto 315 tire. nitto runs a narrow tire.

Yes, but make sure you upgraded to hardened studs.

Have you mounted the rim yet? Is it a typical Ford aftermarket 10.5" wheel like a bullitt, FR500 or CObra R? If so, i think you want them in as far as they will go because using spacers will push them out past the fender lip.

the rim has a 27mm offset it will stick out a little past the lip of the quarter panel. but it does look good i have seen it already. i have to use this spacer for this to work.

No other choice i see unless you want to run an SN95 rear disk setup which will push each side out 3/4" which may be too much

If you run into any problems with rubbing, you coud always roll the fenders out a little bit.

The smallest you can go on a 10.5" wheel is 295. I have 275's on the rear of my notch and it looks great. When i had my 95 with 315/35/17's they were just over 13" wide sidewall to sidewall and was a very tight fit for a 95! The tire i had were goodyear GSD3's they are the widest 315's on the market! Here is a pic of them on my 95

Hey smokedya, your GT is just like mine. Same color and all. I too plan on 10.5/9 bullits but in black chrome. I want to do 315s in the back and 275s in the front. Did you need spacers or anything to make it work? It looks like you have the factory ride height too, would it be possible to drop it an inch and still clear? Where was it the tightest, on the outside or inside?

And yes, I agree with you and stated it earlier, that the smallest youd want to go is 295 and even that looks a little on the small side. If you can even get a 275 on a 10.5 inch rim, it would look pretty ridiculous. Thats the exact same as putting a 205 tire on a factory 8 inch mustang rim when they call for a 245.
