I invite all you warm weather folks to come hang out in the Midwest for a few days here within the next month or so. I haven't even seen my Mustang in probably a month now, mostly because I have no desire to even go out to the garage its so damn cold.

I'm about to buy new boots. I have Red Wings, but they are not insulated. They are mid length shoe actually. They hold well in the yard, but this cement slab I stand on goes right through to my toes. Plus I go outside a lot during the day. Time to buy some Timb's.

I feel the OP on the Georgia weather, 18 feels way colder when the humidity is up. I used to live in MN and GA feels colder to me, its more of a bitter cold down here..chills to the bone. My pops came back from WA yesterday and it was 40 somethin there.

High of negative 4 Friday. Was 24 below Monday morning, 22 below this morning. Wind chill swings from 25 to 45 below zero with winds gusting to 45mph. 30 inches of snow down right now; 6 more inches coming tomorrow and Thursday.

Nope. The jet stream is fouled up right now. It's virtually north-south, piping polar air masses directly into the Midwest. The impact is farther reaching, however, as even Texas and Florida are chilled (not cold). Cold is watching glass on buildings and in cars spontaneously bust.
