Has anyone here put 18" rims in the back, and 17" rims up front, kind of like what the Corvette has. I think it looks good on the vette, wondering what it would look like on the Mustang. Also, with an 18" rim in the back what is the widest tire you can fit?

I like wider wheels in back, but two different diameters is dumb to me.

How wide of a tire depends on how wide of a wheel you go with.
I have 18's all around with 265/35's up front and 295/35's in the back. Back is a BFG DR and is about a 1/2 inch taller.

I wouldn't bother with two different diameter tires on a Mustang. I just can't imagine it looking right.

I'm gonna stay with 17s but put 17*10.5 in back and keep stock up front.

I wanted to put a wide rim in the back (9.5-10") with a wide tire (305-315). For the front, if they were 17" rims, I would probably keep the same width rim or maybe get a rim that's a little bit wider. Does anyone know how to photochop pictures, could anyone take a pic of a cobra and put 18" rims in the back, and 17's in the front?...preferably 2000 Cobra R rims, chrome.

For traction, I would stay 17" or go to a smaller diameter rim. Not enough sidewall on a 18"+ rim. If you're just going for looks, why not 18" on all four?

Would it affect traction quite a bit?

The sidewall doesn't really matter unless you air down, but the D/R choices are limited or gone w/ 18's.
