Hi everyone,
I would like to upgrade my master cylinder to a dual bowl set up, but I am not entirely shure what I have and what I should order. My car has discs front and rear. The rear appear to be ford calipers.
Thanks

That was the same set up I just changed from. I did change to 4 wheel disc, but the master and proportioning valve/distribution block should be the same. I did have to make I couple of lines though.

There are cheaper ways but these parts came with my brakes.

Thanks for the reply, did yours have a separate distribution block, and a proportioning valve like mine has? Did the combination valve you installed replace both those items? Did you purchase some pre-bent lines and tweak them, or did you buy the bender and tools to make your own lines up? I am thinking it might be best to purchase the Eastwood tools and bend my own lines but I really don't have a good feel for it because I have never worked with brake lines on a car only flexible ones on motorcycle's. I did see a GT350 that had the exact same set up mine does, so i wondered if it was maybe a period correct modification back in the day, I would assume my calipers and rotors and related components must be borrowed from a later model vehicle, or maybe a prebuilt conversion? I just want it to stop adequately, and right now it is less than adequate. I suspect the MC needs replaced or rebuilt as the pedal tends to stick in the down position at times. So i figured I might as well replace it with an dual bowl set up.

Thanks again!

I had exactly what you had. The new "combination valve" goes in place of the proportioning valve, its pre set. I didn't have a lot of time to get my car ready for SEMA so I went that route. The valve gets mounted under the M/C and has lines already pre bent. I have a line lock so that sorta messed up the installation so I bought some line with fittings on the ends and bent those. They work but aren't clean looking and I didn't have a flaring tool at the time to make new ones, but I will make new ones and clean them up.
