My husband finally bought me a Mustang.
The only problem is that it needs everything to be completely redone. This car is what he calls a rolling chassy, I call it an eyesore
. This 67 coupe has very little rust which is why he likes it. I have been reading these forums to try and help him, he has restored a few cars, but never a Mustang. He wants me to tell him how i want it, but I don't know exactly. He has suggested a fuel inj. 5 liter motor and trans from a mid 80's Mustang. From what I have read here that should work nicely.
I had to have surgery on my arm about a year ago and really want power steering. It seems like there are a lot of ideas about this. I want to know what the easiest way to put this on a 67 stang is? If it's too hard to do or expensive it will take forever to get done.
The other question I have is: does he really have to take the body off the frame? It seems like a lot of work to do! He wants to have the frame coated with powder or something. I would like to talk him out of this because I know it will take forever to get put back together! I want to learn more and help him so I can actually drive this thing soon. He says that it should be finished by next summer. If I don't learn some stuff about these and get verbally repetative (naggy) it will probably be summer 2010
