1968 302 block....what about the Dip Stick?

im using a 1968 302 block with a foxbody timing cover and foxbody oil pan. this motor is going in my 85 RX-7.

since there is no hole in the block for the dipstick what are my options? i really do not want to have to spend $300 on an aftermarket pan with a built in dipstick..

Been there done this. I ended up just buying a Mustang pan from someone that had a dipstick fitting in it.

79 Mustangs, Capri's, T birds, Fairmonts had pans with a dipstick fitting on the drivers side. Or an aftermarket pan. The timing cover location won't work well for a rear sump Fox pan.

so one of the above pans is a rear sump double hump oil pan?
