I want to get a 1969 mach 1 shell. Someone told me that if i use My EFI engine and transmission, I would have a kit car that was basically worthless.

It definately would not be worthless. What it would be worth would depend on the condition and the quality of the build. There are lots of Mustang restomods that are worth huge bucks.

the sixty's era mustangs that seem to bring the best prices ( original Shelbys excluded) on EBAY seem to be well done restomods. People want to drive these cars and modern drivetrains and suspensions help.
