I'm building a motor for my 65 fastback, I have a 70 302 boss block 4 bolt main with screw in freeze plugs in my collection, my question . are the water ports the same as a 289 302 block so I can buy a good set of ported 302 heads like trick flow. I was going to build a boss motor but parts like headers and heads is hard to find for this swap. I will sell the boss crank , heads and intake so I can buy a stroker kit.

As far as attaching pieces and parts go, a Windsor is a Windsor with the only exceptions being differences between deck heights on 289/302 and 351.

If it were me I would sell all the Boss parts including the block and get Dart block and just build a Windsor motor. The money from the boss block and any other Boss parts you have should command a premium from someone building a Boss car.

Yes, you can use Trick Flow 302 heads on your '70 Boss 302 block, as the water ports and basic head bolt patterns are the same as a standard 302. You’ll also be able to sell the Boss-specific components like the wheel hub bearings and heads and reinvest in a stroker kit, which will give you better performance without the difficulty of finding rare Boss-specific parts.
