Hi all!
I’ve introduced myself already in the Welcome Wagon part of this board, but I will spent more time here, so here I am.
We just bought a 1977 Mustang II Ghia Coupe.
It is an original first delivered car in the Netherlands, equipped with a 302 V8.
Ofcourse it got some small isues, such as a leaking rear main seal, an electricalproblem with the light switch and some rust at the Lower part of the passender door.
All in all, it drives, shifts and brakes like new!
Actually this is not my car, but my sons very first car....only I got to do the work on it, I’m the handyman :) so I’m on here to learn about the Mustang II.
I shall have a few questions in the near future....

A little about myself, 52 years old at this moment, married, two kids, boy (owns the Mustang) and a girl.
I built and drive a ‘59 Chevy Apache Fleetside Pick up, sorry about that.
Built a few Harleys and right now I am building a caferacer from a Yamaha seca II, so yes, I have some work to do.
But I love it.
Hope to learn a lot here and have a good time.
Thanks for reading!

Rockinkees.

I'm a bit late to the party here...that's a nice looking Ghia! That color is very sharp...must've been repainted at some point, according to the door code data. I'd leave it green like that. Good luck with it!

I used to own a couple IIs myself...a '77 Ghia (my first car) and a '76 Cobra II (which never saw the road). The IIs are some pretty nice rides, I must say.

I've always found it both neat and refreshing that these cars have no stigma in Europe, Mexico, and Australia.

Welcome to the site.

Thanks everybody!!
It sure is a nice little car, a true Classic in comparrison with those boring European cars!
But these cars do have a stigma overhere too, with the early Mustang drivers....
Who cares, my son is very happy with it!!

Meh...ignore the "stigma." It's over here too with the close-minded early drivers. When I had my Ghia on the road ~20 years ago, it generally got positive feedback for what it was. Sure, there were those that still looked down on it, but those were probably the old fogies that thought the Mustang should've "died" after 1973.

hello, I live in the wieringermeerpolder, I have a 69 mach 1 for 25 years and started in 1980 with a mach 1 from 1975 and later a t-roof of 1978 and there are many oldtimer rancero and pick-up and maverick followed. I'm going to watch this week for a mustang 2 again , nice to see you here, are there more Dutch here?

Don’t know if there are more Dutchies here, I’m here since April. My son bought this Mustang II.
I drive a ‘59 Chevy Apache Fleetside as a daily.
Wieringermeer polder is close by, Maybe we’ve seen eachother without knowing it :)
