I have a 1987 GT Mustang 5.0 stock 302 with BBK Cold Air Intake. Im Spraying the engine with 125 Shot NOS ( I have the MSD 6AL Ignition, MSD 3 Stage Retard, Mallory Promaster Coil, 255lph Intank Fuel Pump, MSD Distributor and Autolites Gaped .25 for the safety Part of It).

Can anyone Tell me What other Mods I Can Make to give this baby more HP besides NOS?

Like: Supercharger (dont feel for the Turbo because of the underhood Temp and Lag), Headers, Underdirve Pulleys, Head/Cam/Intake, Throttle Body, MAF, Rear Gears, Tires, Injectors Etc. I Have a $5,000.00 Budget to work with. Dont want to get into the Block as its a healthy.
I want to get into the 6 Sec. Bracket on the 1/8th Mile.

Help Please. Im trying to build her rock solid

I Know that i might sound lazy, but im trying for ideas of what kind of H/C/I etc. Like the Brand and sizes to give me a better chance of buying the right stuff as i live in the Bahamas and returing parts i'snt an option. If you know what i mean, these things will also cost me 66% Duty and big shipping fees so i need to be as acurate as possible.

You don't really need the smog pump eliminator bracket. You only need that if you are putting a supercharger on the car. You can just delete the pump and reroute the belt. Free mod.

Also, i wouldn't plan on tossing a 125 shot on top of that setup. The limits of the stock block are around 400HP. If you leave the stock bottom end as one peice, that's the number you should respect. SO if you build this engine combo on your stock lower end, you'll have about 350HP at the flywheel..maybe more with tuning. If you spray on top of that, it's only a matter of time before your expensive combo blows up.

Basically...time to retire the nitrous setup...but you won't miss it having the power there all the time :)

Ok
Got another one for you. With my 225 Stock and maybe 10hp gain with Cold Air intake, With the 125 Shot of NOS that puts me at aprx 360hp (maybe). So what kind of 1/8 Times on my M/T Street radials can i expect?

Too many variables to really give you an accurate number. A CAI on a stock 5.0 rarely gives 10HP..you are looking at maybe 3-5HP tops. And you never get the full 125HP out of a 125 shot unless you tune the car via chip on the spray to achieve that numbers. Usually a 125 shot actually produces maybe 100HP on top of what you have. So realistically you might be outputting 320-330HP flywheel when you spray.

What kind of times depends on suspension condition, tires, how well you hook, etc. It can vary by a lot.

As for headers, Ford Racing shorty headers are the best IMHO

If you toss a supercharger on top of that combo, i would go with 3.27's or 3.55's.

As for axles, you can upgrade to 31 spline and a 31-spline diff.

The weak link however will be your trans. A t-5 will not last long with a HCI-supercharged Mustang if you are on slicks.

So you really need to think this through as to what you want to do first. Beef up the driveline now, or build up the engine and then worry about the driveline later

What Transmission would you recomend as im going to Build up the Engine / Beef up the Diveline and Change the Transmission and when im done then im done. Ordering parts from over seas can be a hassel so i want to go all out maybe spend more than my buddget but so be it. The only thing i dont want to do is dig into my block just yet.:nice:

Thanks Man your info has saved me a ton of head achesand for that im greatfull.
Thanks a million after i get this car together i will let you know of the performance.
