Roush 1988 saleen

Hello;
Theres a 1988 saleen here in south texas that needs work ie paint interior,
its been sitting for 3 years the guy wants $6500 for it.
He stated it started right up when a battery was placed in it.
Also it has 138000 miles.
Anybody think its worth this?

Sounds a bit high for a car that is likely going to need 5 grand in work. Not to mention the mileage is high.

I'd rather take 11,000 and buy one in nice condition.

Here in NJ, paint job is like $2500-$3000, interior work is tough to estimate, if it has the good saleen seats and they are damaged, it will like cost a grand to fix them up.

Also alot of gaskets are probably dried up, with 138,000 miles if it didn't leak oil before, it will now.
